Malaguista floral tribute to Divina Pastora

Once again, as is tradition before the start of LaLiga, the Málaga CF team visited the parish of the Divina Pastora and Santa Teresa de Jesús in the Plaza de Capuchinos in the city of Málaga.

The members of the team, along with the coaching staff and executive board, made the floral tribute to the Divina Pastora, an event that Málaga has not missed for nearly 70 years (since the 1955/56 season). This act takes place four days before the start of LaLiga Hypermotion and marks the beginning of the 2024/25 season.

The institutional delegation of the Club present at the event was composed of judicial administrator, José María Muñoz; general manager, Kike Pérez; and sporting director, Loren Juarros. Also present were the Protocol and Institutional Relations advisor, Francisco Martín Aguilar, and advisory board members Abdullah Ben Barek, José Antonio Ruiz Guerra, and Antonio López.

Málaga CF captains, Ramón Enríquez and Alfonso Herrero were in charge of presenting the floral tribute at the iconic Málaga church, with Ramón delivering emotional words of thanks to the brotherhood. Meanwhile, Carlos López and David Larrubia unveiled a new mantle for the Virgin of the congregation adorned with the Málaga CF shield.

Juan Antonio Navarro, the Head Brother of the congregation, along with José Manuel Ferrary, the Vicar, delivered warm speeches to the team, expressing their fervent wishes for health and sporting success in the upcoming season. The new campaign will begin on Saturday 17th August against Racing de Ferrol at A Malata.

Until next season, Divina Pastora!
