Press conference

Pellicer: “We’re confident we can achieve something important”

The coach held a press conference after the victory against Celta Fortuna in the second leg of the semi-finals of the playoffs. “It's a boost of energy for the lads. These two weeks are about unity and positive things,” he said.

Good reaction in a tough match

“It was a very hard and complicated match. I'm left with the fact that they know how to react. In the second half we were able to adjust the things that weren't working and I think the feeling is very positive. We showed great determination today. Happy for everyone and for the fans. Today was a spectacle.”

Comeback and resistance

“I’m happy because we managed many emotions and today we made many people happy. Another team would have given up yet we put on an exercise of resistance. I am very confident in myself, in the coaching staff and in the group.”

Energy and unity ahead of the final

“You have to know how to adjust emotional management. We had our game plan. They had to trust themselves in an extreme situation. It's a boost of energy for the lads. These two weeks are about unity and positive things, because when you have them it’s contagious. And we must be on alert. Confident that we can achieve something important.”

A committed team

“That's up to the players. The most important thing about a team is those who don't start. In certain playoffs they are going to be key. We will have to make changes. The importance is theirs. We are very happy for Kevin and Galilea. What they did today was great.”

Peace of mind and continue working

“I have gone through all the phases and now it is time for calm. With a little love you can achieve anything. I have experienced it as a footballer. If we played at Melilla's ground, it would be something else. But here they want to do the best they can. We knew how to improve. We were daring and showed courage. And we continued looking for the goal at 1-1. It’s about calm, love and adjusting small things.”

Any rival will be tough

“We went the other day to see it live. I don't have a preference. They are totally different rivals. The coaching staff has done a grand job. We must focus on ourselves and wait. On Monday we’ll start the week.”
