The MCF Summer Camp, organised by the Club Foundation, is already in full swing. The first of four took place throughout the week in Casares.
The Camp kicked off on Monday at Campo de Fútbol 1º de Mayo for the 83 boys and girls who signed up several weeks earlier.
For four days, until Thursday morning, the activities took place at the facilities of the beautiful municipality on the Western Costa del Sol. Featuring a lot of exercise, and always attentive to the teachers’ instruction, the little footballers improved their skills within a great atmosphere of friendship, fun and hard work. In addition, they received visits throughout the week from the mayor of Casares, Juan Luis Villalón, and his Councillor for Sports, Nicolás Morales, as well as Sebastián Fernández Reyes 'Basti', from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department.
Last Friday the campmates moved to Málaga, first to the Federación Malagueña ground for the last training session, and later, to La Rosaleda Stadium. The young players visited the Museum&Tour and received their MCF Camp diploma.
The Councillor for Sport at Casares Town Hall, who attended the closing of the MCF Camp, described it as a “resounding success,” highlighting that “the boys and girls were extremely happy with the activities, meeting Basti and visiting La Rosaleda Stadium and its press room.” The mayor of the town added: “The idea for next year is to continue with this initiative.”
This is only the beginning of an intense month. The second camp starts on Monday until Friday, at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground with a new recruiting draft format, in which there will be representatives from The Academy present and each player will receive an individual evaluation report.
The third and fourth weeks will take place in Rincón de la Victoria from the 10th to 14th and 18th to 22nd July.
