The professional relationship between Málaga CF and Juande Rivas has reached an end. The central defender, who arrived at the MCF Academy at just 15 years old, will not continue with the Blue and White discipline as his contract has ended.
Juande arrived at La Rosaleda in the Cadete category. He grew up with the methodology of Blue and White grassroots football until he became a mainstay of the Atlético Malagueño defence in the 18/19 season, where he played 33 games in the demanding 2ªB.
The following year he entered the first team dynamic and shared his debut with Sergio Pellicer on 14th January 2020 against SD Ponferradina, at just 19 years old, on matchday 23 of LaLiga Hypermotion.
Juande has played a total of 121 official matches wearing the Blue and White shirt, which has made him one of the 30 players in the history of the MCF with the most matches.
His exemplary character on and off the pitch led him to wear the captain’s armband from a very young age, being one of the key elements of a dressing room that has enjoyed the recent promotion.
Juande Rivas will not continue within the Blue and White discipline as his contract is up at the end of the season. However, his imprint will remain forever marked on this Entity.
