Málaga CF, Honorary Brother of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Captive

Málaga CF was distinguished this Thursday 1st August as an Honorary Brother of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Captive.

The Church of Saint Paul hosted a memorable ceremony, with Málaga CF receiving the title of Honorary Brother of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Captive and Holy Mary of the Crowned Trinity, an unprecedented event in the city and in the Brotherhood.

The day began with a warm welcome from Jorge González, Head of Institutional Relations of the Brotherhood, and the moving words of José Manuel Llamas, Spiritual Director of the Brotherhood. Next, Francisco Cabello read the act of appointment, followed by the official presentation of the title and a painting of Jesus Captive to Francisco Martín Aguilar, Protocol and Institutional Relations adviser, and captain Alfonso Herrero.

During the event, both Martín Aguilar and Herrero, along with Mario Ortega, the Elder Brother of the Brotherhood, gave speeches that added depth and emotion to the ceremony. Afterwards, a family photo was taken at the High Altar, and the Blue and White jersey for the 24/25 season was handed to Sergio Pellicer, Málaga CF coach.

The event culminated with a floral offering to Jesus Captive by players Ramón Enríquez and Luca Sangalli, followed by a final photo in the chapel. This honour highlights the close bond between the club and Málaga's rich tradition.
