Julen Lobete Cienfuegos (18/09//2000, Lezo - Guipúzcoa) is a forward capable of playing in any position across the attacking front, having trained in the fruitful academy of Real Sociedad de Fútbol.
He spent three seasons with the San Sebastián reserve team between 2019 and 2022. In the 19/20 season, he played 25 matches and scored 7 goals in the third division. The following year, he made 27 appearances and scored a total of 7 goals with 'Sanse', achieving a commendable promotion to the Second Division under the guidance of Xabi Alonso.
Lobete made his debut with Real Sociedad's first team in the 21/22 season. In his first match, he scored against FC Barcelona at Camp Nou on the opening day of the league. He played 13 league matches (scoring 2 goals), and one more in the UEFA Europa League. During that same season, Julen reached international status with Spain's U-21 team, playing 5 matches and scoring 3 goals.
After completing his stint with the San Sebastián club, he was signed by RC Celta de Vigo. On loan, he played the 22/23 season with RKC Waalwijk in the Dutch Eredivisie (29 matches, 4 goals). Last season, also on loan, he returned to Spain and played for FC Andorra, participating in 41 out of 42 LaLiga Hypermotion matches (32 as a starter and scoring 4 goals).
