Baturina: “It’s a privilege to play at Málaga”

The Croatian forward was presented to the media this Wednesday at La Rosaleda. “I want to help the team with hard work, goals and assists,” he said.

Before the round of questions, Loren Juarros wanted to welcome the new Blue and White player: “Welcome to Málaga CF. You know the Club, you have competed here and you know what this city and this shield mean. Thank you for your interest and wanting to be part of this project. You’ve arrived for one year with a purchase option so you have two reasons to play well this year: to help us this season and so that you can stay with us longer.”

Baturina

Experience in Spain

I know this league and I want to help the team, first with hard work and then with goals and assists. For me it’s very important to play in Spain as it’s my dream. In Santander they went twice during six months. Now I have the opportunity to play the entire year here, I didn't think twice.”

Number

Nine always carries responsibility in all clubs. I’m ready for it, by working I can do everything that this number needs. It's my favourite number and game as a forward, and goals are my favourite things in the world.”

Málaga CF project

When Málaga thinks of me, I don't think about it for a minute and I want to come here. It’s a great Club and it is a privilege to play here. I just want to help the team.”

La Rosaleda

Everyone knows Málaga as a great Club within a great city. For me, it is a very good stadium to play with those fans. When I played here with Racing, I couldn't hear my teammates and the referee when he shouted. It was one of the games I liked to play the most.”

Teammates

I’ve seen that it is a good, young group, with good relationships and a lot of talent. This year we can do great things. The coach knows how to use the players, we have talent and I think we’ll do well.”
