Press conference

“We can’t wait for Saturday”

Einar Galilea and David Larrubia held a press conference in the run-up to the second leg of the promotion playoffs to LaLiga Hypermotion. “We are all participants in this and we all want to do our bit,” they said.

Einar Galilea and David Larrubia held a press conference ahead of the second leg of the playoffs for promotion to LaLiga Hypermotion against Celta Fortuna, taking place on Saturday 8th June at La Rosaleda (19:30).

The Malaguista defender assessed the team's current situation, focusing on the tie against Celta Fortuna, how the team will be on Saturday and the importance of the pitch factor:

Looking forward to Saturday’s game

“The team is looking forward to Saturday, we can’t wait. We are working on the aspects that we can improve and continue on the right path.”

Going for the match with the fans’ support

“With our people we are going to go for the game, they will push us forward. Depending on the circumstances, a draw may be enough. Our idea is to go for the game.”

We’re all part of it

“I'm helping in every aspect, I'm proud of myself. I turned the situation around, I have overcome a mental slump. Having to stop at the end of April was a hard blow. After assimilating and accepting it, I’m turning the situation around. We are all participants in this and we all want to do our bit.”

Mentally ready for the playoffs

“Since the regular season ended and we entered the playoffs, we are aware that a new four-game competition is in play. Everyone wants to do their bit, you help the team in training, with your best version, a smile and hard work. All the players are willing, united and we want to help each other. It doesn't matter who is on the pitch, it's everyone's business. The family we are creating is perceived and that is important. It’s about conveying good energy between us and for people outside to see themselves reflected in the team.”

Synthesis between maturity and youth

“I don't care who goes out on the field, if I don't play, another person who is more qualified will do it, the important thing is to celebrate everyone together. With experience you have lived these situations more or less, for young people it’s a new thing. It's nice to feel the nerves. We feed off each other, I can calm David down and he can convey that hope to me. It’s what the teams have, which some transmit to others.”

Special atmosphere at La Rosaleda

“There is an atmosphere of excitement, of experiencing something special and of passing the qualifying round. We have analysed the first leg well and during the season, we can get to know them. We played a very good game there, we don't have to go crazy and continue along the same paths. We need to adjust three or four things to improve the quality. I am sure that at La Rosaleda there will be a spectacular atmosphere and we are going to do it.”

Meanwhile, the Blue and White number '10' has assessed the team's current situation, focusing on the second leg against Celta Fortuna, the improvement in attack in recent weeks and the preparation for Saturday's match:

A day marked on the calendar

“Since the game ended in Vigo, the team was looking forward to Saturday. We are going to experience it with the fans, it’s a highly anticipated match and we can’t wait for Saturday.”

Good on the attack

“The change has been since the game against Antequera, before we weren’t as good on the attack. In these last three games we have scored seven goals and we’re doing well. I have regained minutes and confidence, I hope to continue like this until the playoffs are done.”

The only goal is to win

“We left with a bad taste in our mouths, the draw was good and at home we are going to win. If we go to extra time we are going to win.”

Correct and compete

“We have seen a pretty long video of the mistakes we made against Celta. We are going to correct them and take advantage of their mistakes to hurt them. They are a very talented reserve team with good players upfront. Being a reserve team, that concentration at the back is not like a team with experience and it can do a lot of damage.”

Capacity crowd

“On Monday there were no tickets left, those who have come all year are the ones who got tickets. My parents will come, my best friends and with them we’re going to do it.”

Lot at stake

“The objectives of the reserve team and the first team are totally different. They are there to promote players to the first team, if they are not promoted nothing happens, although in the Segunda Federación they are closer. We have a lot at stake, we have to give back to the fans for the support and the bad times they have gone through these years. We are going to be prepared and we’re going to do it.”
